What are goood sugars and creamers to add to your coffee if you’re on a diet?

charlie6385 asked:

I’m on a diet right now but i also drink coffee in the morning. I know that when your on a diet, black coffee is the best, but I can’t stand it. What are some good creamers and sugars that i can add to my coffee that are healthy, low in fat, and won’t screw up my diet? Thanks.

I’m with you. I have to have my coffee in the morning. So I use Splenda (or Equal) and I buy either fat-free half-n-half or one of those flavored creamers. They make them now fat-free AND sugar free. They’re great–try it.

    A good sugar is splenda.

    Not sure about a creamer.

    Good luck on your diet.

Look at the labels on those creamers and be careful! They say “fat free,” now look at the ingredients – is the number one ingredient tropical oils?

I contend the best dairy product to put in coffee is skim milk, or evaporated fat free skim milk, or fat free half and half, after having a blood test just after drinking coffee with fat free non-dairy creamer in it. My triglycerides were in the 500’s!

    Need to lose weight?

I used Splenda and Coffee Mate Sugar-Free Hazelnut creamer. Yummy, and I lost 43 Pounds in 3 months! I did other diet things too though, but cutting out most sugar is so effective! I swear this is what helped me most. Good luck!

you should be avoiding coffee altogether.. and creamers and sweeteners are bad too because they are toxic and even tell you on the label they are shown to cause cancer in lab animals!!! go natural or all organic… check out the coffee aisle at a natural foods store in your neighborhood!

I think fake sugar and cream are an abomination (tastewise, and they tend to be unhealthy too). So I’d say just drink your coffee as usual and eat something else less during the day.
Or see if you like black or green teas as source of your coffeine. You may like them without sugar. I like sugar in coffee, but for some reason can’t stand it in tea.

    Need to lose weight?

cut back somewhere else. real sugar- maybe Florida crystals and real cream – maybe not heavy maybe 1/2&1/2.
nothing worse for your health than those artificial or processed “foods”.

    Want to lose weight?

Equal or nutrataste (cheaper…but the same ) both in a blue box. Fat-free hazelnut is my favorite…but to go even lower cal try the fat-free half and half. This worked extremely well for me…as I love coffee, But hate black coffee..lol.
