Joe_V asked:

I love the taste of spicy food and i hear jalapeƱos are 0 calories so i can eat them on a diet… i also hear that hot peppers increase metabolism and suppress appetite…

If you can take the heat, why not. Go for it.They are an excellent source of Vitamin C as well as the other reasons mentioned above. They are said to contain more Vitamin C than oranges so I would go for it and enjoy them. Hope this helps.

    Losing weight without starving yourself

Nothing in nature is zero calories, even celery has five calories in it. But anyway, it is true that spicy food helps increase metabolism (but it doesn’t work if you’re going to eat enough to feed a small army, I can tell you from experience). Since Jalapenos are pretty mild, they’d be alright to snack on. Won’t give you the problems in the bathroom that Thai peppers, Habeneros, or Jolokias might give you.
